The AKS 65 and AKS 65M are high-performance REX systems for filling, linking, and calibrating sausages in natural, collagen, and artificial casings. The equipment delivers throughputs of up to 2,500 portions per minute, handles calibers from 13 to 50 mm, and allows for quick changeovers between different product types. The AKS 65 uses manual casing loading onto three turrets, while the AKS 65M is equipped with a magazine for automatic casing feeding.

AKS 65 and AKS 65M are designed for industrial sausage production with high filling and linking speeds.
Maximum throughput is up to 2,500 portions per minute. The system handles natural, collagen, and artificial casings in a caliber range of 13–50 mm. Minimum portion length is 25 mm.
Three turret horns
Both models are equipped with a three turret horns system, which significantly reduces casing changeover time.
While one turret is in operation, the others can be prepared for the next production cycle. This design minimizes downtime when changing casings and product range.
AKS 65 — Semi-automatic casing loading

In the AKS 65, casings are manually inserted onto the casing shanks. This is especially convenient when working with natural casings, but the equipment is also designed for collagen and artificial casings.
The next shanks are moved into working position using a control mechanism. The three-position turret system allows for quick casing changes without lengthy production downtime.
AKS 65M — Automatic casing change

AKS 65M is additionally equipped with a shirred casing magazine. The prepared casing is automatically fed from the magazine to the feed horn.
Changing casings takes less than 2 seconds thanks to the three-position turret mechanism.
If necessary, the AKS 65M can also be used with manual casing loading – For example, when working with natural casings.
Displacement System
The displacer forms the site for subsequent twisting of the casing and thereby determines the portion length.
This allows for a continuous filling process and produces portions of consistent length and weight. When working with large-diameter products, the Start/Stop mode can be switched on.
Calibration conveyors
After filling and twisting, the product passes through two conveyors of the calibration system.
The distance between the conveyors is adjusted to the required product diameter, and their speed is automatically controlled by the vacuum filler control system.
The calibration system ensures a consistent sausage length and allows for processing casings of various types and diameters.
Control via vacuum filler
The operating parameters of the system are monitored Via the REX vacuum filler control unit.
The speed of the calibration conveyors automatically adapts to the product and portion parameters, facilitating the transition from one product type to another.

RHS Garland Hanging System
Can be used after the AKS to automatically transfer finished garlands to hooks and then place the product on smoking sticks.
Different Lengths of Spikes
The equipment is available with 430 and 530 mm long shanks, with a usable length of 330 or 430 mm, depending on the casing used.
AKS 65M Casing Magazine
Automates the feeding of corrugated casings to the working shanks and reduces casing change time to less than 2 seconds.
AKS 65M Manual Casing Loading
Even with an automatic magazine, the system retains the ability to manually load, which is convenient when working with natural and some other types of casings.
